Akshgiri is led by Mrs. Sheetal Amar Gaikwad, a dedicated woman who dreams of connecting modern India with the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. The foundation of Akshgiri was not built only as a business idea, but through real experiences and deep personal emotions.

A Soldier’s Moment That Changed Everything

The journey began in Kashmir, where Mr. Amar Gaikwad was serving in the Indian Army. During duty, he saved a civilian’s life who was suffering from a heart attack. It was snowing heavily, and there was no hope of immediate help. Amar checked the person’s breathing and condition, and without wasting time, he gave CPR and saved his life. That man was connected to authentic Kashmiri saffron farming and had access to Himalayan Shilajit sources. This incident introduced Amar to the natural treasures of the Himalayas — Pure Kesar and Shilajit.

A Pain That Became a Purpose.

Behind Amar’s courage was a deep personal loss. On 5th January 2019, in Belgaum, Amar’s parents —Late Mother Chhayadevi Gaikwad and Late Father Ganpatrao Gaikwad — were seriously injured in a car accident. Treatment could not start on time, and no one was ready to take responsibility. That day, Amar realized: “When no one takes a risk, a life can be lost.” This life lesson became the reason why he chose to act bravely in Kashmir and save that man. That single decision became the beginning of a bigger mission.

Amar was not only a soldier, but also had a dream of becoming an Army Officer. He successfully cleared the UPSC written examination, but could not clear the interview stage. After that, he decided, "If I cannot become an officer, I will build something even bigger with my life.” To bring Ayurveda to people in a modern way, he completed an MBA in Marketing, so he could create a strong wellness brand.

Amar always believed in a disciplined and pure lifestyle. Even while serving in the Army, he remained:

✅ Non-Drinker

He practiced martial arts and also trained others in fitness. His connection with Ayurveda started from childhood, inspired by his mother’s Ayurvedic lifestyle. To strengthen his knowledge, Amar also completed yoga and Ayurveda training, such as:

• Hatha Yoga

• Shambhavi Mahamudra

• Ayurveda Courses

Deep study of natural and healthy living. This knowledge later became the foundation of Akshgiri.

When Real Results Built Strong Belief

Amar started gifting Kashmiri Kesar and Shilajit to his friends, relatives, and fellow soldiers. Within two years, 300–400 people used these products and experienced positive results, such as:
